Hospitality Manager

You will be part of The Murrayfield Experience’s Sales & Marketing Team and uphold the Team Ambition: PASSION – PURPOSE – PRIDE.
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for leading the operational delivery of all Match days and Special Event days Hospitality at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. The role requires a hands-on approach in ensuring seamless event execution, working closely with the Operations General Manager & Hospitality Events Sales team, catering, and operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Working pattern: 5 days out of 7. Working in the weekends required.
What you’ll be doing…
- Oversee all on-site match day and special event hospitality operations, ensuring high service standards.
- Develop and manage SOPs to ensure efficiency and service consistency.
- Ensure staff appearance aligns with company uniform standards.
- Deliver timely services as per event schedules and function sheets.
- Conduct and document health & safety and event day briefings; allocate staff duties accordingly.
- Align staffing with business needs and manage labour costs; ensure proper inductions with Staffing & Compliance Manager.
- Support Conference & Meeting Operations Manager with day-to-day events (conferences, exhibitions, corporate dinners, etc.).
- Recruit, train, and lead the Hospitality team, managing performance and providing guidance.
- Ensure compliance with all H&S regulations alongside the Staffing & Compliance Manager.
- Monitor and manage stock and ordering to maintain quality within budget.
- Assist Hospitality Sales in planning events, managing logistics effectively.
- Coordinate on-site operational activities as required.

- Proven experience in conference and event operations within hospitality or venue settings
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent client-facing and interpersonal abilities
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple events concurrently
- Experience managing budgets, including staffing and operational costs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Solid understanding of H&S regulations in the events industry

- Experience in large-scale, multi-purpose venues
- Familiarity with CRM/event management software
- Knowledge of the Scottish corporate/events market
- Background in catering and hospitality coordination
