Ready to Lead the Charge in Hospitality Sales at Scotland’s Most Iconic Venue?

Welcome to Scottish Gas Murrayfield – more than just a stadium, it’s a year-round hub of energy, excitement, and unforgettable experiences. Deeply rooted in the heart of the community and home to world-class sport and entertainment, it’s where magic happens – 365 days a year.

At The Murrayfield Experience, we don’t settle for average. We stand for PASSION – PURPOSE – PRIDE, and we’re on the lookout for a Sales Manager (Hospitality) who shares that same ambition.

In this exciting role, you’ll be the driving force behind our hospitality package sales for major events  – from thrilling Six Nations rugby matches to sell-out concerts. You’ll create and execute smart sales strategies, make sure our premium spaces are buzzing with happy guests, and deliver standout service every step of the way. You’ll be the ultimate relationship-builder – charming clients, collaborating with agents, and keeping key stakeholders in the loop to take our hospitality game to the next level. You’ll also lead a superstar team, help cook up exciting new hospitality products, and be our front-row ambassador out in the wild – flying the flag for The Murrayfield Experience and bringing in fresh opportunities to keep us at the top of our game.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive hospitality revenue across rugby, concerts, and major events.
  • Maximise bookings and ensure all hospitality spaces operate at full capacity.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, growing our customer base and revenue.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional account management to boost satisfaction and retention.
  • Represent the venue at trade shows and industry events to generate leads and promote our brand.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales and cross-functional teams to innovate, price, and deliver market-leading hospitality experiences.
  • Manage key third-party agent relationships and negotiate value-adding partnerships.
  • Oversee event sales planning and execution, ensuring high-quality delivery in coordination with operations.
  • Lead and develop a team of 3, setting clear KPIs, fostering growth, and driving a high-performance culture.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adapt strategy and stay ahead.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on sales performance, opportunities, and strategic direction.
  • Drive improvements in processes, proposals, and client conversion rates through innovation and continuous development.

What can you bring?

  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, ideally within the hospitality, events, or sports industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, and third-party hospitality agents.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives and market trends.
  • Experience in managing, coaching, and motivating a sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, revenue management, and budget responsibility.
  • Experience working with event teams to deliver seamless hospitality experiences.
  • Ability to secure high-value deals and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to clients and senior management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Even better if!

  • Background in sports, entertainment, or premium hospitality sales.
  • Established relationships within the corporate hospitality sector, including third-party agents and event organisers.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track sales performance and manage customer relationships.
  • Understanding of how digital channels can be leveraged to enhance hospitality sales and customer engagement.
  • Experience representing a business at industry events, trade shows, or client presentations.
