The Role

Type: Full Time
Contract type: Permanent

We are looking for a Head of Health & Safety to join our growing Central Operations Team! We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Health and Safety to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our organisation’s health and safety framework. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, fostering a proactive safety culture, and driving initiatives that protect the wellbeing of employees, contractors, and stakeholders across all operational sites. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in risk management, strong leadership capabilities and a track record of delivering measurable improvements in health and safety performance.

Key duties will include:

• Developing and overseeing comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures and management framework across all PureGym markets
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and standards
• Leading and managing the UK team to support the business and operations on all matters Health and Safety
• Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards
• Accident and Incident enforcement lead
• Leading operations critical incident procedures 
• Leading safety training and awareness programs for staff
• Manage and maintain the Group liability portfolio
• Working cross industry acting as a spokesperson on standards and compliance
