Streaming Practitioner - Watford UTC

About the role…

Our urgent treatment centres are designed to see, treat and discharge or refer both walk-in and ambulatory patients whose injuries or illnesses are not so serious as to need full emergency department care.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and dynamic Streaming Nurses to join our team at Watford UTC, on a permanent basis (Full-time & Part-time). Applicants will work primarily in Streaming and will play an integral role in clinical decision making, ensuring that patients are assessed promptly and directed to the right place for their healthcare needs. 

Successful candidates must have experience of ED, UTC, or primary care and work within their professional boundaries. There is potential within this post to develop your skills and knowledge and become an ENP by joining our successful training programme after one year. 

As a Streaming practitioner you will work alongside a wider team of ENPs, GPs, HCAs, ECPs, and operational staff to deliver unscheduled care to patients that present with complex and/or chronic illness and injuries.

You will undertake assessment of wide array of patient presentations to determine which clinician is most appropriate for the healthcare needs of our patients.

Qualifications, Experience & Training…

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration OR Registered Paramedic with current HCPC registration
• Educated to degree level
• Mentorship qualification
• Experience in, UCC/WIC/ MIU
• Strong clinical leadership skills
